Tonya June Rafael

Tonya June Rafael, was raised on the Navajo Reservation by her grandparents, who made sterling silver jewelry. She gained jewelry-making experience working for manufacturers for over 15 years.
Today, she exhibits her jewelry at juried art shows from the Smithsonian to the Santa Fe Indian Market, winning awards for her artistry. She designs her sterling silver jewelry and makes it by hand. Although she makes lovely earrings, pins, concho belts, etc, her specialty has become dazzling, one-of-a-kind sterling silver handbags studded with natural turquoise and coral. These extraordinary pieces qualify as heirlooms to treasure.
