A potter best known for her creative yet traditional Cochiti storytellers, figures and nativity sets. She continues the Cochiti heritage of figurative pottery, which dates back to the 19th century, with pieces that look relatively unsophisticated and rough-hewn. A direct descendent of that wonderful (and often satirical) Cochiti figurative art of the past, her pieces are often amusing, anthropomorphic animals,
Her sister is Ada Suina, another fine, traditional Cochiti potter. Stephanie has won numerous awards at Santa Fe Indian Market. and has been featured in magazine articles and pottery books. Unusually, she is also a college graduate.
