We are saddened to report that our long-time friend, and jeweler extraordinaire, Roger Tsabetsaye, passed away on March 16, 2019, as the result of a bad fall.
Roger was a remarkable talent, noted for his painting and kachina carving, as well as his splendid jewelry. His use of magnificent stones was equaled only by his superb workmanship.
More than that, Roger was a thoughtful, intelligent man, involved with tribal issues, and with a quietly wry sense of humor.
He would often come in and sit, chatting about the world – Native and not – for hours, whether or not he had jewelry to sell.
We at Wright’s, will certainly miss his company, and his beautiful creations.
