Born in Keams Canyon, AZ in 1962, this versatile artist is a relative of the late, famed Navajo painter R.C. Gorman, but is affiliated with the Hopi tribe of his mother, Clara Pahuma.
He is self-taught: the Institute of American Indian Arts had no room for him to enroll so he joined the army instead, and then started painting on his own when discharged.
Equally at home in acrylics, watercolor or oils, and drawing, his paintings have won awards all over the United States. His beautifully detailed kachina carvings are equally appreciated.
