Set on the path of making art since childhood, this lovely lady has become one of the most honored, dominant figures n contemporary Native Jewelry. She often collaborates with her husband, Darryl Dean Begay, but creates her own pieces as well.
Tufa casting is a favorite technique, and floral patterns are almost a trademark design. Separately, or together as a couple Rebecca and Darryl have won too many awards to list, including the coveted Best in Show at Santa Fe Indian Market – the pinnacle of awards.
An accredited art teacher, Rebecca concentrated on raising three sons, and now has time to devote herself to jewelry-making, as well as family.
