Description
This is the real thing. The Hopi traditionally awarded this sort of coiled plaque at rodeos and races. In fact, there are horses’ heads depicted in a circle, around the center.
Dating from circa 1940-50. this plaque has the original information tag still on it. The natural colors have faded with age to a pleasant, neutral palette, like dried autumn leaves.
It can be hung, displayed in a plate holder, or lie flat. Any way you look at it, it is an attractive, authentic, vintage example of historic traditions.
