The New Herd

Benjamin Nelson

This artist has been a prize-winning phenomenon since he was 7 years old!

He is now a husband and father, but still paints delightful ledger-style watercolors, based on his mother’s Kiowa heritage.

The bright colors, lively action, and winsome style make his paintings favorites with all ages, in all parts of the country.

In this work, he depicts a hunting scene. The hunters are hiding In the evergreen forest, poised to capture some venison and deer hides.

There will be a wonderful feast, and the antlers and skins will be used for clothing, weapons, containers, and other domestic uses.

This painting charmingly evokes the spirit of the past, which is Ben’s subject matter, in a charmingly decorative way.
