Pete Johnson, although he does not have the same last name, is related to esteemed silversmith Jennifer Curtis, and her late father, Thomas. The family skill definitely made its way over to him!
This stunning cuff is simple in the most outstanding way.
The cuff itself is made from sheet silver that has been textured with a wave pattern. This pattern references waves and water, a very important element to Natives, especially here in the desert.
The silver has been oxidized, leaving just the ridges a bright silver, while the rest is a more muted charcoal color.
In the center is a stunning Mediterranean Coral cabochon, placed delicately inside a toothed bezel and wrapped with handmade twist wire in bright, polished silver.
The contrast between the oxidized cuff and the bright polish around the stone really make the coral stand out, just as it should.
This is a gorgeous bracelet that can be worn every day, with any outfit.
