Laura Willie is a member of the prestigious Willie clan who have been making beautiful silver and copper jewelry for the past 45 years, and this bracelet is no exception.
The copper is a heavy gauge; her stamping is precise, and relieved by some repousse work, where the butterflies’ bodies are pushed out in smooth, gleaming domes.
The design is amazingly lovely: not only is each butterfly individual in its stamped pattern, each one is beautifully formed.
An outstanding feature is the delicate, swaying stalks of flowers, in between the butterflies, and at each end.
Flowers, leaves, and stalks are all impeccably stamped, and seem as if the jeweler painted with stamps on copper.
All this, and a hard-to-believe price, too. Thank you, Laura Willie!
