Wilber is known for finely detailed, impeccably hand fabricated, classic designs. You can appreciate his superior silver skills in this handsome bracelet. The decorative silver beautifully sets off the coveted spiderweb pattern of matrix in the natural Kingman turquoise stone. The enviable stone is a lovely rounded oval, set high and smoothly above elaborate but subtly understated silver work.
A hand cut bezel holds the stone in place, with a darkened shadowbox between it and the minutely filed round frame that is next. Then, there is a wonderfully decorative frame that is sharp-edged, chiseled, cut, and adorned with a row of gleaming round “hogans” on either side
. An additional silver ball is placed above and below the fan shapes that connect to the rest of the bracelet. With a substantial twisted wire between the top and bottom edges, the patterns that surround the splendid stone are continued, in a different scale, all through the bracelet.
Masterful silver work and a highly desirable, beautiful turquoise make this an unusually fine representation of neo-traditional design. This is a fabulous opportunity, since the turquoise is natural, and from the Kingman mine. Sometimes artists need cash and give us great buys, which we then pass on to you!
