Description

Ishkoten Dougi studied fine arts at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe; he’s shown with iconic native artists from Tony Abeyta to Fritz Scholder.

He is Jicarilla Apache and Navajo, a celebrated painter, sculptor, and Artist, with a capital A.

Ishkoten is an extremely talented artist who is unafraid to use his art as a way to make his voice heard. He is known for using bright colors, UV reactive paint, and 3-D goggles in his work, and it always makes a statement.

Whether it is with his bold color choices or his choice of media, Ishko can always be counted on to create something eye-catching and thought-provoking.

“Soul Connection” is one of the artist’s few hand-carved pieces, representing a less frequently worked medium for him.

The handsome Utah Alabaster lends itself well to this kind of carving and it’s sturdily mounted on an Oak wood base.

Totally unique, this is a one-of-a-kind expression that will stand out in any collection!!
