Something really lovely, and really different, in a ring.
A band of silver has had horizontal ovals pushed out from the inside, to form a domed effect on the outside.
“Repousse” means pushed out, in jewelers’ French.
Then, the edges of the band were cut into pretty arcs, just the size to embrace each gleaming oval, on top and bottom.
Ovals and edges were textured, for a glittery finish, and the areas around each oval were darkened, to emphasize the design.
The result is a ring that glistens, almost as if it were encrusted with tiny facets, with handsome curved edges.
In a rather large ring size, it cannot be sized down, but it looks just as fetching placed on one of the larger fingers of your hand – even the index finger.
Ronnie has emerged as an increasingly creative artist, working on designs and techniques that are new to him.
This ring is a beautiful result of confident artistic exploration.
