Voted “Artist of the Year” more than once, this award-winning jeweler is celebrated for his exquisite silver work, and elegantly simple designs that are always just right – not too much; not too little.
These chic hoops are just the right size, too: not too big; not too small. The highly polished edges flash with reflected light, while the darkened and reticulated rug pattern in the center looks like embroidery. That’s what makes them special.
Reticulation is an especially tricky technique, where granules of silver are pushed into a design, and then fused with heat from a flame. Just the right, experienced touch is needed, or you end up with the silver equivalent of melted cheese!
The tiny rug pattern is visible only in a very close close-up, but clearly delineated. From afar, these are classic, particularly handsome hoops, with a nice contrast in the design.
These fabulous earrings are just about perfect in every way – including the price! – and would be an understated, but elegant, set with the artist’s matching ring, elsewhere on this site.
