Description
His prize-winning reputation was established at age 7, and this now-grown-up artist is still partial to portraying his mother’s Kiowa motifs. For the holidays, he has created some papier-mache ornaments that are painted in acrylics.
This vibrant round piece is washed in gold over red, so it shimmers in the light. A Kiowa woman dances in her finery, decorated with white shells, with flower-like stars above. On the reverse; blue and white stars that look like flowers, too. With vivid hues and a pleasing shape, this will look good hung anywhere – and any time of year.
