Description
Standing straight and alert, this tall raven wears red denim overalls, with lots of pockets, and moccasins. His wings are beautifully carved and folded over his back, where only some of the center of his red overalls are visible. His attitude is vigilant, but relaxed; he is confident and in charge.
The artist is widely known for the wry humor he imparts to his wonderful carvings of animals he sees around his reservation home. Turned into humanoid figures, they make us smile, but are also finely created, with precision, color and expressiveness.
This bird, for instance, has a definite attitude, and will never stop guarding your shelf, or wherever you place him. The perfect watch-bird, he is always on guard, never makes a noise or a mess. And he’s good-looking, too!
