Description
There are many fine potters in the various branches of the Gutierrez family, and it looks as if a new generation is carrying on the talent genes.
Young boys love dinosaurs, and this one was lovingly formed, and stone-polished to a superb sheen.
In fact, this young man was awarded two prize ribbons in the Youth Division of Santa Fe Indian Market – one when he was only 7 years old, and one when the potter was a more mature 10-year-old!
Completely traditional, it was formed from hand-gathered and mixed clay, and fired in the ground.
It seems certain that this young artist will have a very notable career in pottery.
