Description
A beautifully designed and expertly executed pendant featuring a jackrabbit.
The unusual shape follows the form of the overlaid silver rabbit, which glistens dramatically over the textured and darkened silver base.
The mark on the back is a variation of Anderson and Berna Koinva’s hallmark, so we are pretty sure this bunny was made by a member of the celebrated Koinva family.
Everything about this pendant is first-rate: even the bail is unusually solid.
Although he/she looks wary, and ready to bolt, we can guarantee this rabbit will never run away, or multiply.
An eye-catching and wonderful example of Hopi overlay jewelry at its finest, even without a definitive artist attribution.
