Description
Abraham Peina is a growing talent in the Native art world. A young jeweler, he enjoys pushing the boundaries of his art and seeing where his vision can take him. Abraham is related to the well-known Peina, Poblano, and Eustace families of Zuni artists, and favors contemporary designs in most of his work.
That is apparent in this wonderfully contemporary cuff!
In the artist’s words:
“The piece describes the “Journey of Change” – two roads. Whichever road you choose it’ll wind down with time. Everybody makes mistakes, therefore it is up to us to make a change. A purpose will confide your dreams. Goals and success…move in silence.”
This in-depth thought is brought to life in high-polished sterling silver, an offset design (the two roads on the journey), and different techniques including stamping, stippling, hand-chiseling, overlay, and applique.
Don’t forget the stamped designs on the inside of the cuff, a special gift for the wearer!
This handsome, contemporary cuff will be a great addition to your collection and a great way to support a young and talented artist who is on his way up!
