Necklace with Reversible Inlaid Pendant
Tim’s overlay silverwork is impeccable, like his mentor’s, the late, great Chalmers Day, whose technique is still celebrated, internationally.
This beautifully handmade, reversible necklace is a remarkable accomplishment, in design, execution, and materials.
Tim’s traditional subject matter reflects the influence of his grandmother, a deeply spiritual woman, in the Pueblo where he was raised.
Each individual link is handmade, from the intricately carved and oxidized arrows to the rings and connectors that hold them together.
Both faces of the pendant are filled with Pueblo pottery designs in bright sterling silver, the negative spaces oxidized as well to add dimension.
But that is not all. As if this reversible pendant wasn’t marvelous enough with the detailed silverwork, Tim has added even more wow factor to it by inlaying each side of the pendant with stones he cut himself. Rich blue Lapis, soft pink Coral, vivid red Coral, Ironwood, Jet, and Fossilized Ivory add a pop of color to the necklace.
A phenomenal piece by an incredibly talented artist, this is definitely a one-of-a-kind that is sure to catch the eye of everyone who sees it!
