Good things come in small packages, and this little fetish is very, very good, indeed. Carved with great attention to detail, this might be by one of the Quam or Cheama families (among the top carvers in Zuni).
We just can’t remember, so it remains anonymous. True to tradition, this carving of the Guardian of the North has his tail curled up over his back.
His whiskered face is alert; he seems to have stopped in mid-prowl. A coral-colored heart line indicates the source of his power.
Lovely color, excellent carving and a strong protector – all in this little piece of turquoise. Just the right size to carry with you, or attach to a desk, computer, dashboard, or wherever.
He’ll watch over you, while you enjoy looking at him.
