Description
Another of Raymond Tsalate’s flights of lovely fantasy, in shimmering mother-of-pearl and serpentine.
A real departure for this creative carver, who usually creates fetishes and other figures, the artist brings his delicate interpretation of natural beauty to a series of carvings you can wear.
A trio of beautiful little waterlillies centers this unique necklace. Leafy green serpentine is carved into the realistic lily-pads that support pretty, pink mother-of-pearl flowers.
Floating above them (or below, in real life) are two pairs of deliciously decorative fish, carved from luminous yellow mother of pearl. All the elements hang from a silver chain adorned with tiny beads of lapis; very appropriate for the watery theme.
Look closely at these glistening fish – they have turquoise eyes and are smiling! How appropriate for a dainty, happy-hued piece that celebrates the beauty of the natural world with its own delightful charm and delicacy.
