This style was a classic in the “old days”, and it is now, again – with an updated refinement – and will be into the future, too. A tour-de-force of superlative silversmithing, resulting in a stunning visual effect.
A constellation of heavenly blue, individually hand-cut and -set, natural, Sleeping Beauty turquoise domes are lined up in astonishingly regular rows. Like stars in the night sky – but actually, the inspiration was rows of corn kernels. That may sound too mundane a vision for this splendid bracelet, but corn is the Native metaphor for life, good health, happiness and prosperity, so the message is as sublime as the bracelet.
The base is tufa cast; each and every little stone was set and applied, separately, on another, thinner layer of silver. That, in turn is soldered onto the tufa cast base. There are 150 – we counted – one-hundred-fifty! – separate turquoise stones on this bracelet! The edges of the cuff are polished on top and chiseled on the outside rim, adding moonlit luster to the dark background. Six glorious blue stones in a row, covering the whole cuff, add up to a definite statement, that is serene, majestic, and, by the way, chic.
A classic yesterday, a classic today, and one that will always look heavenly. Meticulously hand-fabricated by this award-winning artist/rodeo cowboy/horse trainer. Wear it every day, if you like – the compliments will roll in whenever you wear it.
