Tony Jojola is an internationally honored glass artist, with work in museums and private collections.  He is one of the only Native glass artists who work exclusively in hot-blown glass

He has collaborated with the legendary Dale Chihuly, the dean of glass art, and has mentored another generation of Native, hot-blown glass artists at his glass school in Taos, New Mexico.

As an artist, he is constantly developing new ideas, like this beautiful and unique lamp. The two lamps in our collection may be the only ones left, since he made only a few.

Sized for easy display on a table, the organic form of the glass shade is gracefully tapered and shaded from deep, cobalt blue, at the bottom, to almost clear at the top.

The rounded outcroppings and folds, formed while the molten glass was twirling on the blower’s rod, are more interesting, than if it were just a flat cylinder.

That gorgeous blue color is the star of this lamp. At the top, especially on one side, there is a sprinkling of glitter, like constellations of twinkling stars.

The glass is nice and thick, and sits on a frame of hand-wrought metal. The straight lines of the frame contrast with the flowing curves of the glass shade.

Lit or not, this lamp is a sculptural accessory for your home. Let there be light, and let it be this beautiful work of art.
