His career as a silversmith started when he was a young teen, buffing his parent’s handmade sterling silver beads.
Mentored by the late, and great, Kirk Smith, Robert found his own niche creating jewelry in the traditional Navajo style, but in his own designs, as here.
This pendant is just…wow!
A large, triangular Natural Bisbee Turquoise cabochon is surrounded by a plain bezel, and that’s where things really take off!
Surrounding the bezel is hand-twisted wire, an old technique, and well-used to add something special to the setting.
On the outskirts of the pendant are the perfect compliments, in stylized and curvaceous twist wire, multiple repousse designs all around, and stamping along the edges.
The bale is its own work of art, including stamped designs throughout the center and along the edges, and ample space to fit a larger set of beads.
Robert’s work is very clean and sturdy, and with this magnificent Natural Bisbee cabochon as the centerpiece, this particular pendant is over-the-top amazing!
