Nora Yazzie

Gifted in several ways, this lovely lady is a recognized poet, as well as a Navajo-language teacher, and artist. Her clay masks are contemporary renderings of Navajo Yeis, or spirits. Poetic in their serenity and minimalism, they make unusual and powerful adornments for the wall.
The artist signs the masks with her Navajo name: Nanebah.
