Lance Cheama

Half-brother and pupil of Dan Quam, who taught all his siblings his innovative realist technique of carving. Lance was the first of the siblings to gain renown for his detailed work. His work became synonymous with realism and high prices. Lance became especially famous for his long, thin creatures, especially mountain lions. There was a period when he seemed compete with himself, as well as other carvers, to see who could carve the longest and most delicate tails on their lizards and other animals.
