Forrest Naranjo

Forrest comes from a well-known, award-winning pottery family, including mother, Bernice Suazo-Naranjo and sister, Dusty Naranjo.
This artist is known for beautifully etched, sgrafitto designs on pottery that tends to be brownish, rather than solid black. This results from controlling the pit-firing, and the amount of dried, powdered horse or sheep manure used to smother the fire.

Mirror-like polish, elegant forms, and graceful designs are hallmarks of Forrest’s pottery. Often, the subjects are animals, or other types of wildlife.
