Floyd Becenti

A Navajo silversmith known for his intricate overlay or applique-ed narrative scenes of Navajo life and spiritual themes, especially on large concho belts, plates, seed pots, etc.
Each of his pieces has a theme: the struggles of Native history, including modern times; the horrific event of 2011; traditional Navajo ceremonies, etc. Each work is dramatic and astonishingly detailed.
