Eddie J. Encinas Jr. (Gahige’zhinga/Little Chief) is from the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska and Iowa. He is Buffalo Clan (Inkecabe), and a member of the Omaha Tia Piah Gourd Dance Society. He was born in San Francisco, California and currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He served in the U.S. Army and attended the University of New Mexico, majoring in Native American history. Eddie is employed at Wrights Indian Art Gallery and is an award-winning, mixed media and ledger artist. He is associated with, and has shown his work at the following venues: ABQArts Gallery Pridefest Art Show, Artists of New Mexico Art Gallery, New Millennium Fine Art Gallery, NM State Fair Native American Art Gallery, Wrights Indian Art Gallery.
