An accomplished and recognized potter, Debra’s style is characterized by a very feminine delicacy and exquisite intricacy of design.
Traditional motifs of her Pueblo, such as hummingbirds, turtles, the Sunface, flowers, etc., are her favorites. Her inspired hands incise these designs in mirror-bright stone-polished clay in delicate, complex patterns that almost could pass for embroidery.
She has won many awards for her enchanting pieces.
She also collaborates, at times, with her husband, Master Potter Preston Duwyenie.
