Charlie Bird

A Santo Domingo/Laguna Pueblo jeweler, he is recognized nationwide for his geometric, mosaic shell and stone inlay work and use of unusual stones.
His interest in mosaic inlay was inspired by ancient mosaic jewelry found at the Chaco Canyon ruins, in New Mexico. Studying not only the jewelry artifacts, but the architectural brickwork of the Anasazi, he developed his own mosaic inlay style.

He is considered a top, prize-winning mosaic jeweler whose work looks very modern despite its ancient inspiration.
