Wright's Indian Art > Jewelry > BolosOnly cowboys, sheriffs, and Western movie stars wear bolos, right? A bolo is a large silver plaque with an equally large turquoise stuck in the middle, and skinny black cords dangling down, right? That was then; nowadays, bolos are as varied as the men (and women) who wear them. Bolos can be urban, sophisticated, elegant and formal, as well as fun; the same ones will look just as good with a dinner jacket as with jeans, a blazer, or just your favorite shirt. Like ties, bolos are opportunities for self-expression, only more versatile. They can be worn up at the collar for a power meeting, or pulled down (by the cord, NOT the tips, please) for more relaxed occasions. Great conversation starters, one bolo often leads to another, and then another...and then you're a collector! Understated or flamboyant, cutting-edge or traditional, bolos can reflect the many facets of your personality. They are accepted everywhere a tie is - and then some. So, you don't have to be a sheriff, or even know one, to enjoy the freedom and colorful variety of bolos.
