Sadly, Orville Tsinnie passed away in 2017. We were pleased to find we still had one of his memorable pieces.
Amazingly, for a completely self-taught jeweler, he was deemed a master metalsmith. (He was Assistant Director of Personnel for the Navajo Nation, before turning to full-time jewelry-making.)
His numerous awards included a Lifetime Achievement award from the IACA, a national Indian Arts organization.
Orville’s work is known for its solidity, simplicity, and superior level of craftsmanship.
His designs were flawlessly executed, whether traditional, or boldly contemporary, as in this ring.
Sleekly simple, this ring’s drama is in its size, perfect proportions and flawless execution.
The shank is formed of four, fused, silver bars to firmly support the elegant, domed face.
This ring is the pure essence of minimalist beauty.
And, maybe best of all, the price is the original one, from several years ago, making this gorgeous statement ring wonderfully accessible.
