Artists are one essential part of the Indian art triad: without the artists, Wright's (and any other purveyor) would have no reason to exist. Without the artists, the other essential component, you the collector, would have nothing to acquire!
As everyone who has visited New Mexico or Arizona knows, the per capita proportion of artists in the region's Indian population is truly staggering. The number of working artists is equaled only by their incredibly high level of creativity and skill. We at Wright's feel so fortunate to have forged solid friendships with legions of fine artists throughout our long existence. We are pleased to look at work from just about every tribe in the area, and those who are just passing through, without regard to name, reputation, or the lack of one. The work speaks for itself, and we buy what we would like to own - even if for just a little while. But genes rule, and there are quite a few multi-generation families from whom we buy!
