Wright's Indian Art > Artist: Michael Little Elk (Lakota)

Raised on the reservation by his Lakota grandmother, this creative jeweler now lives in the southwest, with his Navajo wife. However, his beautifully detailed, hand-wrought pieces reflect his Plains heritage in subject matter.

He likes to accent his silver work with gold details, and creates variety with polish, texture, darkened silver, etc. Horses and horsemen are favorite subjects, as are elk warriors, and narrative pieces.
