Naveek's nom d'art combines his mother's Navajo heritage ("Nav") and his father's Greek background ("eek").

Raised by his mother and grandmother on the Navajo reservation, he is probably the only Indian Artist of the Year, a national, competitive, award, who owns an olive grove on Cyprus and speaks both Navajo and Greek. His elegant, consummately wrought jewelry has won too many honors to mention. He is known for his secret inlay technique, where he does the metal work first, then laser cuts the stones (always of the finest quality) to fit - flawlessly.
