Yaqui silversmith (Anglo name is Michael Garcia) who is internationally known for elegant, minimalist, contemporary inlaid jewelry using the finest materials. He is especially known for his graceful dragonfly pins.

A top prize-winner, his preferred inlay pattern is mosaic, whether in small or large scale.He says that he is "fascinated with the beauty of color" and his color sense is exceptional, as is his workmanship. The stones he uses, in unexpected but gorgeous juxtapositions, are always ravishing to look at, and of premium quality.

Unusually, for his generation (born in 1952), his college degree is in Business. This must be useful in dealing with international shows and sales, as he does! Michael also teaches and mentors young jewelers at the Poeh Arts School, in Pojaque Pueblo, New Mexico.
